Job Summary

As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain highly scalable applications.Our teams operate our business through amazing product experiences built specifically to deliver value to customers, whether on the supply or demand side of our market. You will be partnering with Product Managers, Designers, UXR & Data Scientists to bring algorithmic solutions to our users. At your disposal will be the tools that helped the company grow to be a worldwide company, as well as new and upcoming tech from our Compute, Platform and Machine Learning teams.

You will be working on the supply side of our market - specifically on projects that improve carrier relationships by maintaining integrations with external systems for carriers to search & book loads, improving tools for monitoring carrier performance & earnings - ensuring carriers have a great post-booking experience.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering field (e.g. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, etc.)
• 5+ years of relevant experience building highly-scalable distributed systems. Advanced knowledge of at least one programming language (Java, Go, C++) and at least basic knowledge of one or more of the following technologies: Kafka, NoSQL & relational databases, Redis, etc.
• Experience with developing highly scalable backend microservices.
• Strong problem solving and coding skills. Knowledge of data structure and algorithms and an ability to use them practically when implementing solutions.
• Strong capability in analyzing system logs and debugging complex software systems is essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write detailed technical documents

Preferred Qualifications

• Have demonstrated ability to work in a fungible manner across tech stacks and programming languages across different domains including Backend & Frontend,
• 2+ years experience developing highly scalable frontend micro-services using React.
• Experience shipping high-quality product features on schedule.
• Experience handling complex problems at scale.
• Experience with one of the following databases: MySQL, Oracle
• Experience working across timezones with cross functional teams to collaborate and deliver on ambiguous projects.
• Knowledge of the logistics and freight industry is a plus.
