The team & role

You will be part of the Popular Pays team, where we're revolutionizing how brands connect with creators and influencers through our innovative all-in-one platform. Our team is building technology that transforms traditional influencer marketing into a seamless, data-driven experience, enhanced by cutting-edge generative AI capabilities. Each team member plays a crucial role in shaping our product, from crafting intuitive user interfaces to developing robust backend systems that power thousands of successful brand-creator collaborations. We are driven by efficiency and innovation, constantly pushing the boundaries of what's possible in content creation and campaign management by integrating AI-powered tools that streamline workflows and enhance creative output. We practice modern development methodologies and are passionate about creating elegant, scalable solutions that make complex processes feel effortless. Most importantly, we're a team of dedicated professionals who take pride in building technology that empowers both brands and creators to achieve extraordinary results through the perfect blend of human creativity and artificial intelligence.

What you will be doing 

• Owning end-to-end feature development - from designing scalable backend services to crafting intuitive UI components.
• Brainstorming feature design, system architecture improvements and troubleshooting.
• Building and integrating cutting-edge generative AI capabilities into our products through APIs and custom implementations.
• Writing clean, maintainable and testable code, and inspiring others to do the same.
• Mentoring junior developers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical guidance.

Your skills and experience

• 2+ years backend development experience building production-grade systems (hopefully with Python).
• 2+ years experience with modern frontend development including expertise in React or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails -a plus 
• Expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Solid experience with database technologies (SQL/NoSQL) and data modeling.
• Deep knowledge of computer science including (but not limited to): Operating Systems, Algorithms, Concurrency and Data Structures.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices -a plus 
• Understanding of Generative AI concepts and ML system integration -a plus

• Expected salary range is $173,000-209,000.
