Distributional is looking for a full stack engineer excited to make an impact across various facets of the product. Distributional is building the modern enterprise platform for AI testing to make AI safe, reliable, and secure. AI is complex, unpredictable and constantly changing. Better AI testing is required to build confidence in non-deterministic AI-enabled applications, but AI testing is broken today. We’re building the modern AI testing stack for enterprises to fix this. Distributional has difficult engineering challenges from the Kubernetes clusters it runs on all the way up to the User Experience. You should be less concerned with the area of stack you’re working on today, instead you are excited and motivated by solving a hard problem. You’re excited to operate as part of a team but unafraid of scoping, communication and executing on any multidisciplinary task. You can work in a fast paced, ever evolving startup environment, while making effective use of your time and communicating blockers with your remote team.
What you will do day-to-day:
- Move through the full engineering stack from infrastructure, database, frontend, and SDK with an excitement to contribute in the way that has the highest impact
- Design and scope solutions to complex problems while advocating for your solutions and soliciting and incorporating feedback from your teammates
- Have a passion for the Developer Experience and an interest in making AI testing better.
What skills we are looking for:
- 4+ years of programming experience in more than one programming language (with a willingness to learn more)
- Database Fundamentals: Experience with database fundamentals
- System Design: Experience working within a larger architecture and designing parts of that system
- Communication: Ability to operate independently and as part of a team; able to communicate outwards and upwards to keep yourself unblocked.
- Effectiveness: Ability to work as part of a fast paced and fully remote team prioritizing your own time effectively
Bonus Points:
- DevOps: Familiarity with CI and DevOps tools such as (git, bash, terraform, github actions, circleci, etc.)
- Kubernetes: Experience using or troubleshooting docker, kubernetes, and helm
- Cloud: Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Experience: Experience working on a small, fast moving team
