The role:
SoFi is hiring a Senior Full-Stack Engineer for our B2B business product called SoFi At Work. The goal of this platform is to provide new ways for our partners to help their employees get their money right across every life stage. Our mission is to help our members find their path to financial independence by providing them with the tools, resources, and guidance they need to get there.
What you'll do:
- Use React/HTML/CSS/JavaScript to turn designs into performant and maintainable user interfaces
- Use Java to develop backend components for At Work
- Lead the development and testing of system components/services, code and design reviews
- Manage projects and deliverables, and design, deploy and improve database solutions.
- Take initiative and produce timely results in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment
- Participate in shaping the technical architecture of the product
- Help translate user stories into technical solutions
- Deliver highly available and scalable services in a production environment
- Mentor other engineers, support the technical culture, and help grow the team
- Generate ideas for new initiatives and technologies
- Communicate with project leads, product managers and other software developers
- Consistently demonstrate extremely high levels of technical knowledge, ingenuity, and creativity. Develops and applies advanced technologies, engineering principles, theories, and concepts. Broad knowledge about the design and operation of systems outside of specialty.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
- 5+ years related experience or demonstrated equivalent
- Experience with React and Java
- Experience with modern JavaScript libraries and toolin
- Strong knowledge of semantic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Effective communication skills
- Familiarity with responsive design/development and mobile-web best practices.
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves, collaborate with others, and get stuff done
- Strong sense of responsibility; driving a project from inception to completion
- Experience working in a collaborative coding environment (and git specifically), refining designs together, working through code reviews and managing pull requests
- Bonus: Experience working with Redux, TypeScript, and working on large-scale applications
Nice to have:
- Full-stack engineering experience, or a willingness and passion to broaden your technical skill set
- Expertise with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, Spring Boot, AWS, CI/CD.
- Fintech/finance experience
- Experience working in customer-facing websites
- B2B Experience
Compensation and Benefits
The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
