Position Overview
Autodesk Platform Service and Emerging Technology team is looking for talents to develop a core component that to empower millions of customers to search for and access any of their Autodesk data from any desktop, web, and mobile products. It is about defining the next-gen universal data access experience across diversified data sources, and moreover making it highly reusable, highly extensible and OS agnostic to easy integrate with Autodesk flagship products and 3rd party eco-systems.
The position provides the opportunity to participate in core engineering including technology evaluation, prototyping, architecture design, web UI component, data system, platform & service engineering, and many more.
Responsibilities

Design and implement component platform for universal data access

Design guidance of platform contribution rules, Interface design
-
Build up platform infrastructures
-
Design and implement platform AI plugin service
-
Work with the scrum team members to accomplish requirements from product manager and customers
-
Own full engineering cycle including designing, prototyping, coding, validating, deployment, and troubleshooting
-
Establish strong partnership and collaborate effectively with engineering teams worldwide with concise communication, strong commitment and win-win mindset

Develop tools to boost work like automated testing, performance monitoring, resiliency analysis, etc.

Share and bring best practice into the team/product; promote best practice/achievement to engineering community

Play a part time (40%-50%) Product owner role in the team.

Maintain Jira backlog and prioritize tasks for the team

Communicate on the feature requirements and write details Epic/Story

Host Scrum meetings

Collaborate with other teams on delivery alignment

Push for dependency and solve blockers for the team

Minimum Qualifications
-
Bachelor in Computer Engineering with 5+ years working experience or equivalent MS
-
Require excellent experience in web technologies such as Java, Devops/CICD, AWS technology, REST APIs, AI, React.js, TypeScript, etc.

Rich API design and distributed system design experience

Strong analytical capability and fast-learning ability
-
Good leadership, communication and teamwork
-
Good knowledge about micro-services; familiar with AWS services or similar core services from other providers

Comprehensive technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design, implementation, automation tests and deployment

Fluent English communication
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience in AI is a plus
-
Experience in Component/SDK platform design and implementation is a plus
-
Successfully completed one or more commercial software development cycles is a plus

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $98,600 and $144,650. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
