Your mission

As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer in the Media Delivery team, you’ll take a challenging role in collaborating with designers, product managers, and fellow engineers to build and optimize a dynamic, scalable, and high-performance platform.

Our team takes pride in creating seamless user experiences while ensuring the underlying systems are efficient, robust, and observable. You'll contribute to architectural decisions, and drive technical excellence across the stack with emphasis on the Frontend.

Your responsibilities

• Work with a diverse team to design, develop, and implement media delivery solutions that encompass CDN, API solutions, and media transformation.
• Build and refine API interfaces and service communications, ensuring clarity, scalability, and adaptability.
• Collaborate across teams to create efficient contracts and interfaces, leveraging your generalist mindset to approach varied challenges in media delivery.
• Develop and enhance frontend components (React) to support media-centric use cases, and work on a diversified tech stack.
• Contribute to a positive team dynamic, fostering an open-minded and innovative environment for exploring and implementing best practices in media delivery.
• Participate in analyzing, designing, and implementing system changes, weighing the benefits and drawbacks of proposed solutions and adapting as needed.

Your story

• You can work remotely from anywhere in Switzerland or join us on-site in our St. Gallen office, with the flexibility to choose your best work environment.
• You have a strong background and interest in React and TypeScript, with experience in the broader React ecosystem, including state management libraries, server-side rendering, component-driven architecture, and performance optimizations.
• You have a deep understanding of API design, including RESTful principles, GraphQL, and best practices for structuring efficient, scalable, and maintainable APIs that are secure, as well as networking and web application layer protocols. 
• You have experience in contract and interface definition, ensuring consistent and maintainable code.
• You're skilled in writing unit and integration tests, with a solid grasp of error handling, logging, and observability.
• You understand and apply best practices in CDN usage and maintenance, cloud storage, caching, and scalable architecture.
• You’re familiar with testing frameworks and have a deep understanding of component composition, reusability, accessibility, maintainability, and performance best practices.
• You thrive in a collaborative and growing environment, embracing feedback and continuous improvement.
• You’re fluent in English, and any French language skills would be a bonus.
