Distributional is looking for a front end engineer to build a beautiful and easy to use product. Distributional is building the modern enterprise platform for AI testing to make AI safe, reliable, and secure. AI is complex, unpredictable and constantly changing. Better AI testing is required to build confidence in non-deterministic AI-enabled applications, but AI testing is broken today. We’re building the modern AI testing stack for enterprises to fix this. You should be excited and motivated by building an easy to use user experience. You have experience building reusable frontend components that enable other engineers to contribute to an often hard to navigate front end stack. You’re excited to operate as part of a team and can work independently. You can work in a fast paced, ever evolving startup environment, while making effective use of your time and communicating blockers with your remote team.
What you will do day-to-day:
- Build and be a core owner for the web interface of Distributional
- Mentor and enable full stack developers to effectively contribute on the UI through experience and reusable components
- Have a passion for the Developer Experience and an interest in making AI testing better.
What skills we are looking for:
- 4+ years of experience building React applications (typescript preferred)
- Prototype: Experience working with product to build and rapidly prototype on new design with tools such as storybook
- Componentize: Experience with building and maintaining reusable components that be easily styled and iterated on
- Communication: Ability to operate independently and as part of a team; able to communicate outwards and upwards to keep yourself unblocked.
- Effectiveness: Ability to work as part of a fast paced and fully remote team prioritizing your own time effectively
Bonus Points:
- Design: Ability to wireframe and work through product requirements to design the best user experience
- System Design: Experience working within a multi-faceted architecture and the ability to understand the larger system
- Coding+: Experience with other languages such as python
