Senior FP&A Analyst

Overview:

This role requires someone that has strong experience in financial modeling, cost management, budgeting/forecasting experience. You will play a critical role establishing and tracking metrics and keeping leadership informed of key trends.The ideal candidate will have proven experiences in past roles influencing business leaders, and supporting decision making in rapidly evolving environments. This role has regular interaction with senior leadership at Vartana and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update financial reporting and forecasts, and partner closely with business partners to research and communicate performance vs. budgets/forecasts
• Continuously work towards improving and streamlining cost center management to enhance the overall budget management process for the Finance team. 
• Synthesize and distill key financial business insights for leadership - analyze results, identify key metrics, assess risk and communicate risks & opportunities.
• Perform ad-hoc analyses and synthesizing data to support business partner inquiries, aiding in managerial decision-making for product strategies.
• Partner with the Sales/Finance leads and find efficiency opportunities and appropriate metrics to track business performance and additional sources of cost savings
• Execute on business case modeling and ad-hoc projects to ensure a high level of data fidelity to support forecasting (working closely with all cross-functional business partners)
• Be a thought leader to improve and simplify processes, drive standardization, and build scalable solutions to support the next wave of Vartana’s growth
• Deliver products on time with an extremely high quality bar

Requirements

• 5+ years professional work experience in finance with progressively increasing levels of responsibility and including 2+ year(s) supporting business partners
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Proficiency with accounting, corporate finance and working knowledge of tools in the finance tech stack
• Demonstrated problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills; strategic and critical thinking
• Self-directed, able to work independently, often in ambiguous situations - as well as work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
• Possess strong cross-functional experience in finance, accounting, business operations and technology
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data and concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Advanced Excel, Google Suite, PowerPoint knowledge and aptitude for systems and data extraction
• Experience in SaaS, tech, or financial services industries is preferred
• Experience working with SQL and Python is a plus
