Job Description SummaryAs Senior Lean Transformation Leader you will be responsible for driving cultural transformation and operational excellence through the application of FLIGHT DECK, GE Aerospace’s proprietary Lean-based management system.
This role involves coaching, driving, and leading Lean Transformation Leader behaviors, principles, and tools across an operational or functional area.
The primary focus is to develop the proficiency of the leadership team and employees in applying these fundamentals to continuously improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost performance, resulting in significant improvements in operational business metrics.Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the site leadership team to implement FLIGHT DECK practices.

  • Drive a change in operating mindset and ensure the Lean and management system fundamentals of FLIGHT DECK are effectively applied in support of strategic and operational business plans.

  • Develop the proficiency of the leadership team and employees in applying FLIGHT DECK fundamentals to continuously improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost performance.

  • Lead and coach teams in the application of FLIGHT DECK tools and principles to achieve operational excellence.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

  • Monitor and report on the progress of FLIGHT DECK implementation and its impact on business metrics.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in STEM subjects, including Economics, from an accredited college or university.

  • Strong experience in leading operations in mature lean companies.

  • Proven ability to drive outcomes in large, matrixed organizations, understanding how to navigate geographies, cultures and relationships.

  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and transform results and processes through the application of Lean techniques.

  • Lean practitioner, capable of facilitating kaizen events and coaching core tools such as Daily Management, structured Problem Solving, Value Stream Management, Standard Work, and Transactional Process Improvement.

  • Experience in transforming processes from traditional “batch and queue” to “flow and pull” preferred.

  • Change agent, able to make the case for lean and demonstrate immediate impact.

  • Highly collaborative, comfortable with conflict and debate normally associated with change.

  • Critical thinker with the ability to bring others along, even those with conflicting priorities.

  • Impactful communicator from the shop floor to the board room.

  • Fluent in English and Italian, both written and oral.

  • Work Visa, according to local regulation, is required.
