The Role & What You Will Be Doing

Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Senior Financial Planner and Analyst role will make an impact:

Under supervision of the Finance Manager, coordinate and conduct financial preparation, analysis and consolidation of financial data to support affiliate Forecasting, Budgeting and Strategic Planning process (Market prices, In -To market volume, Gross to Net Revenues up to Gross margin and AOI). Find ways to facilitate processes through standardisation, automation, and design of spreadsheets
Coordinate and support the affiliate monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements (Revenue/AOI Flash, Product Profitability reporting, Prod P&Ls, LoB P&Ls, other). Ensure the data provided to Region or Global Finance are accurate and delivered on time
Support the affiliate monthly S&OP process – NPI data consolidation support, Demand meeting – relevant product data support for efficient Demand overview process, Financial Reconciliation – support the meeting with relevant dashboards, price/volume analysis, Prod P&Ls, LoB overview, main P&L consolidation
Advanced business support with more industry knowledge involved in product profitability & trend analysis, overview of Revenue and total P&L versus different benchmarks (forecast, budget, prior year, strategic plan, other). Highlight the impacting elements and escalate any issues. Prepare the analysis in the required formats (Prod P&Ls, One pager, LoB P&Ls, Business breakout P&Ls, NPIs, other)
Coordinate and communicate the financials results and analysis as required. Provide understandable, readable content and display information in a smart way to serve the meaning
Provide financial data and support as required to the affiliate management team and function heads. Give visibility to understand the past-current-future financial situation compared to the various estimations and targets. Prepare presentations and reports for local and regional management meetings and reviews
Create various ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis
Coordinate activities regarding Affiliate Product Master database – track changes, maintain data in local tools, report needed updates to Regional and Global systems
Initiate and coordinate development of management reporting tools/financial dashboards/scorecards. Create new and improve the existing reports and analyses by taking into new requirements and needs
Pricing support: support MyIRP maintenance, price calculation PPP to CIP and NSP; support NPI prices overview as per request
Close collaboration with commercial supply – forecast alignment – financial vs. operational forecast alignment, support demand meeting with financial data.
Coordinate development and maintenance of In market tools and dashboards.
Support month end close to principals (accruals, data checks, …)
Coordinate Royalties / Profit share calculations with Regional team for monthly booking
Advanced use of Hyperion, EMEA PLN, Prod Prof, Prime and other financial systems
Promptly report any adverse event/adverse drug reaction, special situation and/or product quality complaint to the applicable Department, in accordance with local timelines

About Your Skills & Experience

For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:

5+ years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis roles
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s degree or MBA is a plus)
Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
Experience with variance analysis, scenario modeling, and business case development
Experience in a multinational environment (preferably pharma)
Fluent Croatian and strong English language skills
Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, SUMIFs, Power Pivot)
Strong experience with ERP systems (SAP, Hyperion)
Familiarity with reporting and visualization tools (Power BI)
Experience partnering with cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, etc.)
Sharp analytical skills and a proactive approach to solving problems
High attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture
Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities
Continuous improvement mentality; always looking for ways to optimize processes and reporting
Experience leading or mentoring junior finance staff
Sharp, forward-thinking finance professionals who can handle complex analysis, planning, and business partnering
