A Day in the LifeMedtronic's Supply Chain is at the heart of the company, focused on ensuring the right product is in the right place at the right time to meet our customer's and patient's needs. This individual will collaborate with multiple stakeholders to provide timely analysis, insightful guidance, and financial reporting of the Distribution Centers in EMEA. This role requires cross-functional partnership with various operations, supply chain, transportation, distribution center leaders and finance teams to identify best practices and build capabilities to effectively report the actual spend of our DCs.
As a Senior Financial Analyst in Distribution Center support, this position plays a pivotal role in overseeing the financial day to day financials of our distribution centers. The primary focus will be to optimize financial performance, drive cost-efficiency, and provide guidance to ensure the financial health and success of our distribution network. This position reports to the Global Supply Chain Finance Senior Manager.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Prepare and present accurate and timely monthly financial reports, focusing on key drivers, performance metrics, risks and opportunities versus budget
  • Provide insightful analysis on key variables to close expense gaps to targets, mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities 
  • Manage and maintain all aspects of our DC cost centers, including forecasting, reporting and structure maintenance
  • Design and maintain standardize reporting and analytics to drive consistency across the organization and use insights to continuously improve financial processes
  • Foster strong relationships with key partners to drive alignment and contribute to the strategic direction and initiatives that support our organization’s goals

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Requires a bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting and 4+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting or an advanced Degree with 2+ years of work experience
  • Advanced skills using Excel, PowerPoint, Word and other MS Office applications
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and driver and Proficiency in leveraging systems and data to provide actionable insights and drive decisions
  • Strong results orientation and bias for action, including a high degree of initiative and self-motivation in understanding business needs
  • Familiarity with Medtronic financial systems, including SAP, OneStream, Essbase/Hyperion, and experience with managing Cost Centers of DCs is a plus
