Q2 is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to lead the financial management of non-compensation costs for our operations groups, with a primary focus on our hosting group. This individual will be responsible for overseeing consolidated expense forecasting, cost tracking, and strategic cost management projects. The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in optimizing cost structures, driving operational efficiencies, and ensuring alignment with broader business objectives. This position requires a combination of financial expertise, analytical acumen, and strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
A Typical Day:
- Lead Non-Compensation Cost Management: Manage and track non-compensation expenses across operations, particularly within the hosting group, ensuring expenses are accurately captured and aligned with budgeted forecasts.
- Consolidated Expense Forecasting: Develop and maintain consolidated expense forecasts for the operations groups, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial performance, variances, and potential risks.
- Cost Tracking & Strategic Projects: Monitor and report on key cost drivers, implementing best practices for strategic cost tracking and delivering analysis on cost-saving opportunities across operations.
- Collaboration & Business Partnership: Partner with cross-functional teams, including hosting, accounting and procurement, to ensure financial alignment and contribute to cost-saving initiatives and operational efficiency projects.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Provide detailed financial reporting and analysis on non-compensation expenses, delivering insights on trends, risks, and opportunities to senior management.
- Cost Optimization Projects: Lead or support cost optimization initiatives, providing financial expertise to identify areas of improvement, project tracking, and assessing the financial impact of proposed changes.
- Strategic Support: Assist in the development of strategic financial plans, helping to align cost management practices with the long-term goals and growth strategies of the company.
- Ad Hoc Analysis & Reporting: Support ad hoc financial requests, special projects, and any analytical needs related to non-compensation cost management.
Bring Your Passion, Do What You Love. Here’s What We’re Looking For:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in (relevant degree) and a minimum of 12 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 8+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles and accounting/budgeting practices
- Strong analytical skills and ability to identify trends and indicators of future performance
- Ability to solve complex problems with creative solutions
- Advanced Excel and Power Point skills
- Background in financial services, information technology and/or software is a definite advantage, particularly SaaS, including software revenue recognition
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong, cross-functional working relationships and add value as a financial business partner
