Global External Supply (GES) virtual sites manage the oversight of Pfizer's external contract manufacturers globally through several legal entities in North America, Europe (EU) and Asia Pacific (APAC).
Pfizer Asia Manufacturing Pte Ltd (PAMPL) hosts Pfizer Global Supply (PGS) Regional Hub in APAC which also includes Global Supply Chain (GSC) and GES APAC operation.
This Senior / Financial Analyst position will lead the internal control, and compliance reviews. The position also supports the coordination of internal and external audits and ensures compliance over the statutory returns and tax filings.
The position will also support a wide-ranging business partnering support to GES's operations in managing the global supply of external Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) and regional Drug Products (DP) virtual site operation (VSOT).
These support activities include:
Actuals & Forecast - Budget and Latest Estimates

  • Manage the monthly closing process and ensuring the relevance and maintenance of the site accruals
  • Perform the variance analysis and coordinate the month-end close review meetings.
  • Prepare the commentaries for the Monthly Operating Summary.
  • Ensure the timely issuance of the actual results and accounts reconciliations
  • Coordinate the collection of financial templates required for forecasts and consolidated the forecast inputs for the preliminary review between the respective region's operations team leader and their VSOTs
  • Maintain the relevant cost standards in the respective ERP & GMX systems.


Internal Controls & Compliance

  • Liaise with the corporate internal auditors on the scheduling of the audit and communication of the audit plan, attestation of the internal controls through mock audit and the risk control matrix documentation with respective business process owners
  • Coordinate for internal control reviews, inventory count planning for the consigned Pfizer's materials with external contract manufacturers
  • Perform fixed asset verification planning and reconciliations
  • Ensure site compliance of records retention for financial records
  • Supports sites / finance Continuous Improvement Projects


Support Site Initiatives

  • Site coordinator with Global Business Services on Intercompany, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables matters and government census request
  • Support APAC COE in the collation audit schedules and tax schedules for market specific information requests.
  • Provide revenue forecast and profitability analysis to support site strategic initiatives and review requests.
  • Support ad-hoc projects eg system or process improvement projects


Business Partnering

  • Finance support for assigned Operations Lead and VSOTs
  • Lead the distressed inventory review
  • Consolidation of the VSOT's the distressed inventory reports for the operation review meetings, publish the finalized distressed reports, issue the meeting minutes and ensure the follow up on the assigned action items.
  • Lead the accrual review meetings during the operation review meetings. Coordinate the collection accrual templates and follow up on the closure upon the discharge of liabilities.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Accountancy or Business, ACCA or CPA
  • Business Analytics & Reporting certification
  • Minimum of 3 years of finance experience post professional ACCA or CPA qualification in mid-size to global enterprise.
  • Prior experience in managing teams preferred.
  • US GAAP and Singapore Statutory Accounting.
  • Strong MS Excel capabilities.
  • Strong ERP knowledge i.e. SAP.
  • Audit experience with Big 4 preferred
