managing financial planning, analysis, and reporting for a key cost center within the
organization. This role is critical in identifying cost-saving opportunities, optimizing resource
allocation, and ensuring financial efficiency in alignment with organizational goals. The ideal
candidate will have strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to provide
strategic financial insights to support engineering and operational teams.
What you’ll do
- Cost Analysis and Optimization:1
- Conduct in-depth cost analysis for the Product Engineering Centre, identifying areas for potential cost savings and operational efficiencies.
- Develop and monitor cost allocation models for accurate tracking of expenses to projects and departments.
- Financial Planning & Budgeting:
- Drive the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for the Product Engineering Centre.
- Collaborate with engineering and operational leaders to ensure alignment of financial plans with organizational objectives.
- Monitor and control operating expenses, ensuring adherence to budgets.
- Reporting & Insights: Prepare detailed financial reports, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs), cost trends and variances.
- Present actionable insights to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop dashboards and visualizations to enhance the understanding of financial data.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a financial partner to engineering and project teams, ensuring financial considerations are incorporated into operational planning.
- Support cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving cost efficiency and resource utilization.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and reporting systems within the Product Engineering Centre.
- Lead or support automation and digitalization efforts to enhance financial transparency and efficiency.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and internal controls.
- Monitor financial risks and propose mitigation strategies to safeguard organizational assets.
What experience you need
- Education: Chartered Accountant, Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within a cost center or
- engineering/product-focused organization.
- Prior experience with cost optimization in R&D, product engineering, or manufacturing is highly
- desirable.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in financial modeling, cost analysis, and forecasting.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Workday).
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively.
