Job Description

Provide financial and business reporting analysis support within the Global Finance team to inform decision-making by Management, Sales, and Marketing departments within the organization. Primary responsibilities include analysis of operational expenses, analysis and reporting of market share data, developing business partnerships with internal customers to drive achievement of financial goals, assisting in the annual planning/budgeting process, monthly and quarterly forecasting and month-end close activities. Work closely with internal teams and marketing agencies to build analytics deliverables. Own all aspects of digital analytics lifecycle, including KPI development, measurement planning, tracking and data integration and reporting.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Prepare monthly analysis of financial results. Examples include financial statement variances against budget, including trend analysis and account analysis. Provide explanations and recommendations for gap closure or corrective action.
  • Develop and present ROI analyses that provide insights and actionable recommendations on digital media programs across multiple platforms such as Amazon Marketing Services, Google Adwords and Facebook.
  • Lead the quarterly forecasting process for relevant Sales & Marketing channels.
  • Assist in analyzing the financial performance against key business metrics and document pertinent financial highlights that will enable management to determine progress against strategic/business plans and budgets.
  • Maintain database of market data and provide reporting and analysis on industry benchmarks and competitive trends.
  • Partner with Digital Marketing teams to design reporting and analysis approaches tailored to their needs.
  • Partner with internal customers including Product Managers, Planning and Purchasing to perform analyses of product and operations costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings, profit improvement and tracking performance against targets.
  • Co-develop and own tactical action plans with internal customers to achieve financial and operational goals. Regularly monitor progress and drive accountability towards goals.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget. Including preparation of supporting schedules, uploading and validation of data into budgeting database, assisting in preparing the financial budgeting model, creating reports and analysis and coordinating with key personnel from various departments.
  • P&L modeling and scenario analysis.
  • Ad hoc projects as required in support of business and strategic initiatives.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a Financial Analyst role or equivalent position
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field
  • Advanced Excel skills; ability to create functions, lookups and pivot tables is a must
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to dissect complex financial data and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Highly organized with a keen eye for detail
  • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, adapting to changes, and meeting tight deadlines
  • A proactive and positive work attitude, including a willingness to work extended hours during peak periods to meet critical deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present financial concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated to stay current with industry trends and best practices, with a strong desire to learn new concepts and participate in new projects
  • Familiarity with SEO, SEM and social media marketing is a plus
  • Experience with Hyperion Essbase or Smartview, PowerBI, Oracle, Business Objects and MS Access, a plus

Range for this position:

$80,000 - $95,000

Factors such as geographic location, academic credentials, relevant experience, and specific knowledge, skills and abilities will influence the actual salary offered. In addition to a competitive market-based salary, compensation also includes a performance-based bonus, and in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
