What you'll be doing:

This is an exciting opportunity to be a highly visible member of the Finance team; you will liaise with senior budget holders in the business. A Key role, providing services directly to the Veolia Executive Committee. The role holder will be accountable for various aspects of the management & financial accounting reporting processes that are undertaken at the Finance Shared Service Centre.

The role holder will be responsible for a direct report and aspects of financial and management accounting reporting processes that are undertaken at the Finance Shared Service Centre. This includes:

• Budgets/Forecasts

• Monthly Management Accounts

• Assisting with quarterly deep dives

• Responsible for Business Partnering and producing quality budgets/forecasts

• Facilitation of Audits

• Group Reporting to Paris for Central Entities& intercompany reconciliations

• Documentation of current work process

• Preparing Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Adhering to and completing a month end checklist

• Responsible for getting hands on with the local audits & statutory accounts process

• Look to find and implement process improvements

• Assisting with other ad hoc tasks in the team

What we're looking for:

• Qualification with a recognised UK accounting body e.g ACA, ACCA, CIMA

• Good business acumen; ability to understand the workings of a diverse range of business units

• Must be eager to help move the team forwards.

• Committed to delivering within set deadlines

• Willing and able to document, in a detailed way, current work processes

• Demonstrate strong communication skills with all levels of stakeholders

• Must be confident and a self-starter with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment

• Sound technical accounting skills
