Senior Financial Accountant - Sustainability
To implement various processes and process improvements in relation to Endeavour’s reporting of energy costs, enabling accurate and complete reporting of climate change requirements under AASB S2

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:
- Obtain an understanding of Endeavour’s financial accounting and reporting processes and people, and work closely with the Sustainability team to understand and leverage current sustainability reporting processes
- Create/change general ledger accounts across multiple ERPs and Consolidation system to capture energy costs
- Develop and issue an accounting policy with detailed process instructions on revised GL postings and monitor compliance with the policy to ensure all energy related transactions are posted to these accounts in a timely and accurate manner
- Construct an organised data base of supporting invoices and other documentation for all energy expense line items, inclusive of necessary data to enable Tonnes of CO2 emissions reporting
- Drive process change to appropriately capture expected energy costs from accrual accounting
- Build a monthly analytical review process supporting balances of energy costs at each month end, ensuring accuracy of source information and commentaries explaining underlying variance drivers
- Strong follow up and communications where exceptions arise
- Establish processes to a “reasonable assurance” standard of quality
- Drives performance and outcomes
Qualifications
Now let’s talk about you:
- 7 years of financial accounting or external audit experience preferably in a Big 4 firm or large ASX-listed entity
- CA or CPA qualified
- Strong debit/credit and account reconciliations skills
- Good technical accounting skills including familiarity with Australian Accounting Standards and upcoming Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards.
- Strong stakeholder management, project management and partnering capability
- Attention to detail, with the ability to see the bigger picture
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong self starter
- Excellent Spreadsheet, Word doc skills and working with general ledger packages (SAP, Microsoft 365/Dynamics and others)
- Exposure to sustainability and/or other non-financial metric reporting systems and processes
