Job Details

The role is responsible for all finance activity for Cencora’s Global Products and Solutions (GPS) business segment, our innovation and solutions group. The role requires collaboration across business unit Finance business partners, along with GPS commercial leaders, and respective teams as well as across COR. The Sr Manager of Finance will provide sound advice regarding investment decisions (build, buy, partner), portfolio analytics and allocation, expenses, headcount management and core FP&A responsibilities. This role manages direct reports and reports directly to Director of Finance.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Global Products and Solutions team to develop financial business cases for various opportunities. Business cases include build, buy, and partner options.

  • Partner with business unit finance leaders to identify success metrics for solutions and track ROI at the solution and portfolio level. This requires deep understanding of the strategy, risks and opportunities, and ability to translate strategy into financials as well as ability to “tell the story” in a concise and transparent way.

  • Lead Global Product and Solution portfolio financial assessment, focusing on investment diversification, risk and opportunities and ROI.

  • Manage business unit finance responsibilities for onboarded solutions (i.e. Cubixx). This includes financial planning, approval of payables, customer invoicing and cost allocation methodology to benefiting business segments.

  • Prepares CER and Capex (Capital expenditure) plans in collaboration with Commercial and functional partners.

  • Supports the business to prepare business plans, Capital Committee materials in alignment with overall strategy.

  • Partner with accounting to determine R&D investment strategies within US GAAP.

  • Lead financial monthly management business reviews (MBRs), partnering with commercial and functional leaders to drive visibility into financial performance and outlook.

  • Manages the Expenses, Headcount (Labor and Expenses), for all entities of the segment and ensure that any risks and opportunities are timely communicated through monthly estimates.

  • Responsible for annual plans and long-range plans. Presenting to senior leaders.

  • Generates timely and concise communications to functional leadership regarding project status and pending issues.

  • Interacts with project sponsors, stakeholders and various project members to ensure that specific business needs are met.

  • Performs ad hoc data modeling and analysis as directed by leadership.

  • Complies with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules and regulations.

  • Manages and develops direct reports by creating challenging assignments and clear expectations, focusing on staff development and growth, and providing coaching / mentoring opportunities.

  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting & Finance

  • Minimum of ten (10) years in Accounting/Finance-related fields including exposure to modeling and FP&A concepts and at least five (5) years at a manager level.

  • MBA or CPA preferred.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Outstanding knowledge of various financial management areas such as financial statement analysis, plan development, productivity and profitability analysis

  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and ability to apply the appropriate tools and level of analysis to specific situations

  • Experience in leading high performing teams and developing associates to their max potential

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and follow through and ability to work independently

  • Understanding of policies, philosophy, goals and objectives to affect financial oversight in protecting the company's assets

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
