The Role

Do you want to contribute in a key position within Global Operations Finance? Are you a true Business Finance partner, who engages with people, understands the business and creates value for your stakeholders? As our Senior Finance Manager, you will be part of GN Global Operations Finance management team, as well as the Regional Supply Chain Management team. You report to the Vice President Global Operations Finance, Niels Paakjær Pedersen and with a dotted line to Vice President Regional Operations, Anders Roikjær.

You are overall responsible for managing and developing your team (direct and dotted line responsibilities) in Europe, US and APAC, overseeing and managing the financial activities for our Global Operations function. You are also the Finance Business Partner for our Vice President Regional Operations. You will be responsible for providing strategic financial guidance, ensuring financial performance across all regions as well as in charge of overseeing month end reporting performed by shared service center colleagues and your own team.

The team you will be part of

At our global HQ, located in Ballerup, Denmark you will join our Global Finance Organization supporting our Global Operations division, where you are part of the management team and report to the Vice President Global Operations Finance, Niels Paakjær Pedersen and with a dotted line report to Vice President Regional Operations, Anders Roikjær.

Your contribution is appreciated, and you will:

  • Manage the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) process for your part of Global Operations.

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support business targets and growth.

  • Provide decision support and be a trusted advisor for the VP of Regional Operations and the VP Head of GOP Finance

  • Be part of the leadership team and be on top of the finance related matters within Regional Supply Chain

  • Perform periodic analyses and business cases, thereby understanding the underlying business explanations of actual financial performance vs Outlook/Budget, and identifying levers for improving future financial performance

  • Analyze Monthly performance of the Global Operations entities and coordinate the monthly management reporting

  • Prepare and oversee Outlook and Budget preparation for the regional sites

  • Identify improvements related to business performance, data transparency, and financial processes

We are open to your experience, as we believe there can be several paths you have taken in your career. We do believe that to thrive in the role, the following background and experience would be beneficial:

  • A higher educational background at a master’s level within Finance, Business Economics, Auditing, or other relevant areas of studies.

  • In addition to finance/auditing knowledge, business intelligence (BI) and data analysis are highly relevant

  • A minimum of five years of work experience from an international business environment within finance e.g. finance business partner, financial advisory, management consulting, finance manager.

  • Ability to coach, motivate and develop a team

  • Experience in people management by either direct or project leadership

  • Able to deal with ambiguity as the role is under development

  • Proficient in analysis and skilled at resolving complex issues with understanding of general accounting principles.

  • The ability and will to establish relations and contribute to a social and collaborative work environment where collective outcomes are shared, and problems are openly discussed

  • Microsoft Office Skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Think Cell

  • Ability to communicate & present in English across the organization, incl. to senior management

  • Eligibility to work in Denmark and willingness to do occasional travel globally

Advantageous experience, but not perquisites for the position:

  • Navision, SAP, D365 or OneStream

  • Knowledge of Standard Costing method
