Job Summary


Field Technical Specialists work with Technicians, Dealers, and Customers in the mining and construction industries to install and maintain Teleo’s technology. Working within customer time constraints and conditions, your primary focus is to install and maintain Teleo products on heavy construction equipment. You thrive when challenges arise requiring your experience and good judgment to resolve, take ownership of your projects, and lead by example. You enjoy traveling and communicating with internal and external parties in your daily work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level support to technicians and customers regarding to diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of complex electromechanical and software systems.
  • Provide regional oversight of multiple locations and personnel by: 1) Stepping in to resolve or escalate high-touch or aging customer concerns, 2) Training and coaching internal and external personnel and 3) Identifying region or customer-specific issues and raising visibility within the company while offering solutions.
  • Identify and champion areas for improvement across customer satisfaction, field reliability, project execution, and product quality.
  • Participate in new product development and release in a technical area of specialty by contributing requirements, raising reliability and serviceability concerns, designing and executing testing, and closely monitoring early deployments.
  • 50% to 100% travel is required.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Certificate from a University/College program in Diesel Technology, Automotive Technology or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of service technician experience in industries such as heavy equipment, automotive, energy, or telecommunications. 
  • Demonstrated capability to solve unique problems which may not have been encountered before across multiple subject areas including mechanical/electrical systems, software, and hydraulics.
  • Strong ability to stay organized and methodical while executing field work, anticipating and reacting to unexpected challenges along the way.
  • Experience and passion for sharing knowledge and providing on-the-job training.
  • Adaptable and professional communication skills for relating to customers, technicians, engineers, or executives.
