Seaport Research Partners Overview

Seaport Research Partners (“SRP”) is a rapidly expanding, innovative research platform. SRP empowers self-driven analysts by reshaping economics and delivering a fully integrated solution to support, enhance and grow their franchise, allowing them to focus exclusively on producing the customized and differentiated research that matters most to clients. Eighteen analysts have joined the platform since 2020 and bring an average of 20 years’ experience, most with prior experience at bulge bracket firms and many receiving industry recognition such as II rankings. SRP will continue to build upon this momentum by adding new analysts and verticals to its already broad coverage that currently includes Consumer, Energy, Financials, Industrials, Materials, SPAC’s, Utilities & Power sectors.

 

SRP operates as a division of Seaport Global Securities, which brings established global client relationships, access to over 3,000 opened institutional accounts, 150 senior salespeople & traders across the cap structure, asset management, global equity and debt capital markets, a full suite of corporate access services including multi-sector and niche conferences, fixed income & derivatives research and investment banking. Seaport Global’s offices throughout the US as well as London provide a superior network and deep infrastructure.


Opportunity

We are looking for experienced Equity Research Analysts who have an established franchise to join our expanding team. We have a strong presence in New York and Chicago, but have multiple offices across the US and Europe. We are flexible with location.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience within Equity Research.
  • Research coverage in sectors that complement our existing coverage.
  • Strong buy-side client relationships with a track record of driving revenues.
  • Strong corporate relationships with a track record of providing management access opportunities.
  • Idea generation and thought leadership abilities are essential.
  • Differentiated and proactive research with consistency and strong stock picking track record.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with sales, client service, trading, and capital markets teams.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a commitment to excellence and contributing to the team’s success.
  • Strong work ethic that prioritizes compliance and client service.
  • Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills.
  • MBA and/or CFA preferred.
  • Series 7 (or SIE), 63, 86, 87 license.

Compensation: Commission based
