F5, Inc. seeks Senior Engineer in San Jose, CA:
Job Duties: Researching, deploying, and maintaining hardware and software production services in the F5 engineering lab. Working with multiple engineering teams to design, implement, and maintain solutions used in product development and testing. Creating on-demand orchestration environments (e.g. Kubernetes) in public and private clouds such as AWS (Amazon Web Services), VMware vSphere, and Azure. Ensuring DevOps infrastructure and services maintain the required level of availability, reliability, scalability, and performance. Building operational monitoring and alerts to track issues and identify areas of improvement. Addressing blocking bugs and related operational issues in a timely manner, to enable delivery on commitments. Creating and maintaining Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and proposing and implementing ways to improve reliability and quality of product through more effective pipelines. Collaborating with more-senior members to implement scripts and test automation frameworks. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to F5 offices may be required.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Interdisciplinary Telecommunications, Engineering, or closely related quantitative discipline, and one (1) year of experience in job offered or in any occupation in a related field.
Special Skill Requirements: (1) Scripting using Bash and Python; (2) Developing software for Devops and network technologies; (3) Supporting infrastructure including servers, network, storage, E-commerce, and messaging; (4) Performing network monitoring and troubleshooting; (5) Incident management, cross-team collaboration, and on-call customer support; (6) Network Automation and DevOps (Python and Ansible); (7) Security Protocols; (8) Cloud Automation (AWS); (9) Containers (Docker); (10) Kubernetes; (11) REST API; (12) Web servers. Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to F5 offices may be required.
Salary: $189,264.82 - $249,937.00 per annum.
