We're a remote-first company, but we believe people should be able to work where they can be most productive. Currently, we can employ in the United States and Canada. We also have offices in Los Angeles and Seattle for those interested in hybrid or full-time office work.
We are looking for a Senior Engine Tools Programmer to help us build the tools and systems required to ship high-quality AAA content efficiently. If you find fulfillment in empowering artists and designers to ship amazing content, this role is for you. As an experienced Senior Engine Tools Programmer, you will design and build core systems and tools that power our content pipelines, and workflows. You will collaborate across disciplines to add and improve tooling, carefully considering and communicating tradeoffs along the way. As a part of our engineering team, you will contribute to a culture of collaborative problem-solving, technical excellence, and continuous education and improvement.
Responsibilities
- Design, improve, and implement tools used by artists, level designers, and game designers.
- Refine content pipelines to help us ship high-quality content, respecting budget constraints and target platforms.
- Collaborate with other engineers and content teams to iterate on existing and new workflows.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and champion solutions to increase studio content efficiency.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in game development.
- Excellent C++ programming and debugging skills.
- Strong understanding of modern game content workflows and pipelines.
- Experience working with Unreal Engine.
Nice to Haves
- Strong understanding of modern console and PC hardware architectures and performance characteristics.
- Experience developing tools and games in other third-party AAA game engines.
- Experience working on competitive multiplayer games and/or live service games.
Compensation: We believe that a team that builds together wins together. Because of that, our compensation packages consist of competitive industry standard base salaries and an annual bonus. For this specific role, the base salary range is $170,000 to $220,000 (USD) with the final salary offered dependent on job-related skills, knowledge, experience, and internal equity.
