Leobit is seeking an Embedded Engineer Senior/Tech Lead level for our client based in Norway, a leading company that innovates IoT safety and security products for marine, residential, and commercial markets, prioritizing. They develop firmware for devices that will be used in the complex Smart House concept solutions. Devices that are used in the development life cycle: Hubs, water sensors, fire sensors, dimmers, smart locks, smart panels, etc.
You will have the opportunity to join a team of engineering experts and be engaged in the IoT development, integration, and testing of advanced software for Hub and related smart home devices from different manufacturers.
Leobit is looking for a Senior Embedded Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop well-designed, easy maintainable, scalable, and reusable software/firmware
- Program low-level drivers for IoT devices
- Develop Linux kernel and board support packages, modules, and user mode drivers
- Work closely with app, backend, and CI/CD engineers to define and support firmware/software integration processes
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues reported by customers or internal stakeholders
- Explore and investigate new requirements and provide estimations, dependencies, possible risks, etc.
- Split scope into tasks, prioritize and perform task implementation, bug fixing
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance development processes, tools, and methodologies
Requirements:
- Five-year working experience as an Embedded Engineer (at least)
- Strong expertise in C/C++ development (applications, kernel modules/drivers, firmware)
- Thorough understanding of multi-threading, both in a single and multicore environment
- Experience with microcontrollers: CC1352R, CC1352P, ESP32S2
- Experience with IoT standards: HomeKit, MQTT
- Experience with protocols: RS485 (ModBus), MT protocol
- Expertise in networking: Wi-Fi provisioning, Z-network, LAN, LTE, Zigbee
- Experience with Console and CLI
- Understanding of inter-process communication (IPC)
- Experience with AWS services (DynamoDB, IoT core, Shadow)
- Experience with software configuration management: Git, SourceAnywhere, SourceSafe
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science (or similar technical field)
- Level of English: Upper-Intermediate (at least)
