The Role & What You Will Be Doing
Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Senior EHS Advisor role will make an impact:

Ensure that the site is operating fully in accordance with current legislation, particularly the Health, Safety and Welfare at Work Act, 2005 and General Applications Regulations, 2007.

Ensure that policies and procedures are in place to ensure compliant and adequate management of risk, ensuring that the company operates a safe workplace with safe systems of work.

Ensure the company meets its obligations under the Waste Management Act 1996.

Highlight all pertinent environmental, health and safety concerns and issues, and to propose to management suitable means of addressing them.

Coordinate all staff training relating to EHS as appropriate.

Coordinate EHS internal audit programs.

Maintain and generate EHS Metrics monthly.

Develop and maintain site Risk Assessments program in accordance with regulatory and Viatris requirements and support the identification and implementation of risk reduction measures.

Support the development and implementation of the site Industrial Hygiene Program to ensure suitable surveys and assessments are conducted and controls implemented to keep colleagues safe

To review and re-issue, as and when required, safety-related Standard Operating Procedures.

To monitor, review and develop incident and/ Safety Observation Reporting systems.

Perform other duties as assigned.
About Your Skills & Experience
For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:

A qualification in Occupational Health and Safety is required for this role, preferably Level 8.

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
-
Manual Handling Instructor’s Qualification desirable.
-
Waste management and recycling experience.
-
Trade effluent legislation and compliance.
-
Air emissions legislation and compliance.
-
Emergency response system implementation and management experience.
