Senior Director, USIS Strategy
The Senior Director, USIS Strategy will play a pivotal role in the year-round process that shapes the U.S. Information Solutions (USIS) business strategy. This person will provide strategic recommendations to the USIS SLT by (a) supporting the annual strategic planning process (b) conducting strategic assessments on high priority growth opportunities, (c) leading comprehensive market and competitive assessments, (d) partnering with the M&A team to understand the strategic fit of acquisition targets and partners, and (e) overseeing key, strategic growth initiatives that brings the strategy to life.
This role will interact with the USIS business (Sales, Strategy, Marketing, Product, etc.) as well as with Enterprise functions (Finance, Corporate Development, Data & Analytics, Technology, etc.). You will collaborate closely with product, markets, and functional teams to drive sustainable growth. This person will be a key change agent, influencing strategic thinking and execution using established frameworks possessing the ability to shift from strategy to execution by leveraging structured end-to-end thinking.
You will provide support in coordination and content development of presentations (e.g., CEO, Board of Directors meetings, strategic thinking sessions), as well as track metrics to measure business progress against strategy.
Reporting to and working alongside the VP of USIS Strategy, this position works from our office in Midtown with the flexibility to work remotely two days per week. (This is NOT a fully-remote role.)
What you’ll do:

You will combine internal and external intel on macro, market, and competitive events and trends (e.g., emerging business models, new capabilities, traditional and non-traditional / emerging players, ongoing M&A activity), distill key insights, and articulate relevant opportunities or threats for our company

You will manage select strategic projects strongly linked to the execution of the growth strategy. This includes analysis, definition of objectives and approach, synthesizing implications, outcomes and recommendations.

Assist LOB / Functional Leads in planning and executing key strategic initiatives. You will influence the strategic directions of projects by identifying gaps and connecting impacts to the long term strategy.

You will support working sessions with cross-functional internal (top, middle management) and external stakeholders to identify new opportunities: coordinate the process, support thought leadership and content development, distill the outcome of the sessions and provide actionable recommendations.

You, alongside the VP of Strategy, will partner with the M&A team to assess the strategic fit of potential acquisition targets and partners, and support them in shaping up the business case as it aligns with the USIS strategy

Support the VP of Strategy in the annual Strategic Planning process: identification and prioritization of opportunities, coordination of LOBs and Functions and creation of an enterprise view, stress-testing of financial projections / forecasts, preparation of material for key meetings with CEO and Board of Directors
What experience you need:

10+ years of experience in strategy roles including 3 years with consulting firms, with a proven track record of (a) leading strategy projects while working across multiple stakeholder groups in a matrix organization, (b) defining and delivering a cross-enterprise strategy, (c) executing a growth or commercialization strategy beyond paper

Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills in a structured manner -- able to create a framework to help guide thinking and decision making

Well-versed with quantitative analysis and financial modelling to support recommendations

Executive presence with developing and presenting to senior executives

Proven ability to successfully lead with influence and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams to drive alignment and action

Less than 25% travel

Experience in Financial Services, product management, VC / M&A, and in leading strategic engagements for Go-To-Market strategy is strongly preferred
