A Day in the LifeWe seek a motivated Senior Director, Supply Chain Improvement to lead the Planning Technical COE team. We are combining 3 teams under one leader to gain synergies on how we interface together. The Sr. Director-Supply Chain Planning will work to enhance our planning tools, to further leverage our Blue Yonder tool, ensuring we are identifying, initiating, and executing improvement projects across our entire supply chain via data.
In this role, you will ensure excellence:
• In our new Blue Yonder supply chain planning tool, improving its use and features while ensuring its full adoption.
• Across our E2E supply chain by identifying, initiating, and executing projects to improve cost, lead time, inventory, and other key supply chain metrics.
You will partner closely with leadership, business teams, IT, demand, and supply planning teams, M&A teams, and deliver COE across Medtronic. You will lead subject matter experts across network, analytics, demand, supply, and finite scheduling to elevate the success of our E2E supply chain.

As the Senior Director, Supply Chain Improvement, you will lead a team of employees reporting to you and be responsible for:

Analyze, develop, and implement long-term strategies that enable a best-in-class supply chain.

Ideation of improvement projects within the supply chain, identify benefit justification, and drive support for project execution.

Partner closely with key stakeholders to prioritize projects and orchestrate implementation.

Support the business execution of new programs and initiatives, including forecasting and coordinating key events, new product launches, and network redesigns.

Monitor key operations planning performance indicators and cost-to-serve performance data and coordinate cross-functional work teams to increase the effectiveness of supply chain initiatives.

Identify indicators and KPIs to drive improvement in the planning technologies (Blue Yonder and Anaplan), including cost-benefit analyses and plan quality.

Build commitment to the technology solutions through engagement and influence with next-level leaders and key stakeholder groups, communicating outcomes to the team.

Elevate the training and skills of our end users in the tool to drive adoption and move from how things are done to why things are done with deep understanding.

Initiate IBP & S&OE process improvements tied to our planning technology.

Lead and participate in cross-functional problem solving (A3/DMAIC) to address systemic issues and horizontally deploy improvements pan-Medtronic.

Develop the planning technology roadmap in partnership with others and drive the successful execution of the actions.

Build commitment to the solution through engagement and influence with next-level leaders and key stakeholder groups, including commercial leaders, communicating outcomes to the team.

Establish operating mechanism to streamline processes for network change requests.

Lead and participate in cross-functional problem solving (A3/DMAIC) to address systemic issues and horizontally deploy improvements pan-Medtronic.
Must-Have: Minimum Requirements
-
Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant supply chain planning experience with 7+ years of managerial experience or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant supply chain planning with 7+ years of managerial experience

Experience driving the adoption of new planning systems and processes across a matrixed organization

Superior project management and organizational skills, including leading and running cross-functional teams

Experience executing network improvement projects
Nice to Have

Mastery in Planning Systems (Blue Yonder, SAP, S4HANA, APO, Anaplan, BI, Tableau, etc.)

Excellent communication, organizational skills, change management, stakeholder engagement, and influence experience.

Lean Sigma Green or Black Belt certification with a familiarity with the DMAIC process

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$213,600.00 - $320,400.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
This position is eligible for an annual long-term incentive plan.
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico. Base pay is based on numerous factors and may vary by job-related knowledge, skills, experience, etc. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
