Introduction
We are seeking an exceptional Senior Director of Software Engineering to lead the development and execution of our software efforts, specifically surrounding computer vision, embedded software and cloud/DevOps. We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of how software processes and development should run within the cycles of a hardware program. What You’ll Do
- Define, develop and lead execution of software strategy aligned with our company vision and product roadmap
- Lead end-to-end technical direction for our software operations and ensure seamless integration with our hardware systems
- Oversee the end-to-end software development ensuring that engineering efforts are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with AWS best practices
- Drive peak organizational performance through effective feedback, accountability and teamwork
- Build and scale a world-class software organization through cross-functional collaboration with our hardware and executive teams
- Champion the adoption of best practices in software development, ensuring the team adheres to Agile methodologies and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
What you have
- 15+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 8 years in leadership roles ideally across robotics, automation or similar
- Demonstrated success building and scaling software organizations from early stage to maturity in a fast-paced, highly innovative environment
- Expertise in embedded systems, cloud-based platforms and computer vision/ML pipelines, ideally within a hardware setting
- Ability to effectively communicate complex technical components to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- An unwavering pursuit of innovation

Salary Range
$200,000—$250,000 USD
