How you’ll make an impact:

  • As part of the leadership team, act as the lead HR partner and strategic thought partner to the Manufacturing site Plant General manager and the site Leadership Team, to develop and implement human resource strategy to achieve its current and future business objectives.
  • Develop and plan functional human resources projects and activities with accountability for successful completion of all project deliverables.
  • Lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of HR professionals to ensure the HR strategy is implemented effectively, within budgets, and complies with all regulations, laws and employment standards.
  • Develop a robust talent development and succession planning in alignment with functional growth strategies across HR.
  • Lead or partner with COE's to deliver human resource programs for client groups to ensure the organization's current and future talent requirements are met.
  • Provide leadership in partnership with COE's to evaluate the organization's future workforce needs in order to recommend changes to the HR strategy and adapt existing HR programs to meet these needs.
  • Use highly effective consulting skills and principles to advise, influence and partner with leadership on talent strategies and actions to build organizational capabilities and an engaged and high-performing organization.
  • Proactively analyze trends and metrics to identify training needs or individual executive coaching needs for assigned client group(s) and partners with COE's or Shared Service groups to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Participate in the interview/selection of talent in assigned client groups and perform compensation analysis to drive competitive offers.
  • Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training and coaching programs to ensure success.
  • May lead HR aspects of merger and acquisition activities, functional consolidations, or other large HR initiatives for the assigned business groups
  • Other incidental duties.

What you’ll need (required):

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or other related fields and proven prior Human Resources experience in strategic planning and leadership
  • Prior people leadership experience
  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Prior experience leading transformational changes with an emphasis on change management

What else we look for (preferred):

  • Master’s Degree
  • Excellent understanding of organizational effectiveness and change management processes
  • Proven successful project management skills and ability to jump into projects at various stages
  • Prior experience with developing and implementing HR strategies locally and across the organization including but not limited to managing strategy and critical areas, strategic workforce planning, retention strategies, identifying critical organizational capabilities.
  • Prior experience in medical device or pharmaceuticals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including building interpersonal relationships, influencing, effective negotiations, conflict management, and consultative and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
  • Recognized as an expert within sub-function(s) and/or area(s) and broader organization including broad-based expertise across area and related functions
  • Expert knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Expert knowledge of local and federal employment laws within field and within organization
  • Ability to manage and navigate multiple ongoing issues and complex employee relations matters
  • Effective level of business literacy about the client group(s) business, financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels while establishing a positive reputation
  • Ability to navigate challenging forces in the fast-paced and dynamic operations network
  • Experience representing leadership on programs or org-specific strategic initiatives within multiple areas, interfacing with project managers, human resources team and leadership team
  • Able to provide human resources leadership to outsourcing partners on a directive level, participates on medium scale RFP
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and human resources systems
  • Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
