WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: The Senior Digital Project Manager is responsible for the overall workflow, project management, and production of assigned marketing and communications campaigns across a wide range of platforms and distribution channels with a particular focus on web-based products and applications, ranging from simple campaign microsites to large enterprise website redesigns and related digital applications. They will lead the development of web-based products and associated assets and will often lead the production of other campaign-related deliverables including video, animation, display and social.

They work across internal teams, including account management, research, strategy, UX, creative, development, 508 compliance, and technical teams, to deliver innovative solutions and ensure client service excellence. They have a strong understanding of and commitment to delivering high-quality, strategy-driven digital products and integrated campaigns.

The Senior Digital Project Manager has deep technical knowledge, guiding clients and teams to the right expertise and solutions for their digital projects, from requirements gathering through to launch. They are well-versed in digital and content development across multiple platforms, thoroughly understanding how creative content is developed, distributed, and optimized for digital channels, including web, social media, email marketing, and online advertising.

They have a thorough understanding of the digital development lifecycle and are dedicated to project management principles, ensuring that all aspects of the campaign are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. They identify and engage the appropriate resources and expertise needed to successfully execute each project, ensuring that the needs, level of effort, and timing are clearly communicated and documented. They provide ongoing support throughout the process to ensure that all deliverables, whether digital products or broader campaign elements, are complete, accurate, and aligned with the project's goals and business objectives.

Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Collaborate with creative, development team and others to find the best solutions to clients’ communications needs.
  • Serve as the lead point of contact on assigned projects and promptly respond to requests for information on project status and details.
  • Anticipate and mitigate obstacles to ensure projects stay on track.
  • Create, manage and monitor Team’s channels and ensure project files are centralized, organized and easily available to teams for use or reference.
  • Produce project documentation and artifacts using approved templates when available.
  • Develop and/or coordinate development of materials for presentations to internal teams and clients.
  • Develop agendas and capture meeting notes as necessary.
  • Provide quality assurance for all projects including proof reading, review against requirements, client brand guidelines and adherence to overall objectives and strategy.

  • Serve as technical advisor on asset production and ensure projects are developed to meet production specifications.

Budgeting and Scheduling

  • Seek clarity on requests to thoroughly understand creative needs, clearly define, document and communicate scope and approach each project with a clear understanding of objectives and audience.
  • Develop overarching project plan to guide the work then break down project plan into more specific tasks to move work forward.
  • Develop, maintain and drive project schedules, proactively moving work forward through clear, proactive communication.
  • Develop, document and track project estimates for labor and out of pocket expenses for a wide range of deliverables.

Resource Management

  • Collaborate with creative team leaders and Traffic Manager to assign work and ensure assignments are correct and updated in project management system.
  • Collaborate with creative team leaders, Traffic Manager and other Creative Producers to prioritize work and adjust plans if needed.
  • Consult and manage appropriate internal teams and resources as well as external vendors when needed.

Process Enforcement and Improvements

  • Contribute to the development of systems to ensure efficient and effective workflow, agency business management and ultimately increased creative quality.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the business and internal processes that may impact or improve work product.
  • Adhere to established process and documentation to provide a consistent, professional experience for teams when engaging the creative production team.
  • Protect the business interests of the agency as they pertain to creative work – vendor management, usage and rights, releases, privacy and seek council when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in areas such as web development, UX, digital marketing or a related field.
  • 5+ years of web project management at an agency or similar environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully producing a wide range of digital products including large enterprise websites.
  • Experience developing project documentation ranging from business and technical requirements, user flows, wireframes and maintenance plans.
  • Experience developing web products for government agencies including U.S Web Design System and Section508 and FISMA compliance.
  • Experience managing development and content updates in content management systems like WordPress and Druple.
  • Solid understanding of UX principles and programming platforms.
  • Understanding of tools and javascript libraries for dynamic data visualizations.
  • Experience developing quality assurance plans and managing QA.
  • Experience managing creative, development and technical teams and vendor relationships.
  • Experience with Agile project management a plus.
  • PMP Certification and plus.
  • Ability to develop, communicate and maintain systems that increase efficiency and provide growth opportunities for the agency.
  • Demonstrated strong communications and problem-solving skills.
  • Exacting attention to detail.
  • Ability to estimate and maintain accurate schedules and budgets
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and uses and mechanics of creative softwares.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office applications.
  •  Knowledge of project management principles, processes and software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong management and leadership skills.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and consent to a full background check due to our federal contract requirements.

Salary: $100,000 - $120,000
