Support and cater to the projects associated with monitoring tools like Sumologic, ScienceLogic, Dynatrace etc. and quickly respond to incidents for one or more technologies within the technical area of expertise. Frequently collaborate with cross commit teams to gather requirements and develop and implement detailed design, configuration and engineering strategies/solutions to resolve issues/incidents while remaining focused on project delivery. You will help drive the optimization of technology operations though automation and solution delivery, system/services performance monitoring and solving problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and adopt best practices on Monitoring,
- Setup, design and maintain monitoring tools.
- Configure Alert/monitor and notifications for Devices, databases , MW component and applications.
- Understand the performance and issues of server and tools. and provide recommendations to optimize.
- Identify the root cause , respond to alerts and incidents and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Document the issues and provide the long term solution.
- Work closely with IT teams, developers, and other stakeholders to understand monitoring requirements and integrate monitoring solutions.
- Implement monitoring for automated system health checks.
- Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders regarding system performance and incidents
- create good technical documentation and maintain
- Create scripts for Monitoring solution in Python, ansible, bash and Poweshell
- Understand CI/CD pipelines and guide teams on DevOps best practices.
- Develop and maintain lambda and CFT in AWS
- Work with engineers to drive issues to resolution during application instability. Maintain and implement change management control procedures .
- Work with multiple/distributed teams following Agile practices.
Required Qualifications
- 4-7 years overall industry experience in implementation and configuration of Monitoring tools.
- Good code/scripting skills for Monitoring automation.
- Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems.
- Cloud/IaaS environment like AWS/Azure • Monitoring/Alerting tools such as Sumologic, Dynatrace, Cloud Watch, DXnetOps.
- SCM tools like BitBucket/Git and any productivity plugins.
- Understanding of network topologies and hardware • Knowledge of load balancers (F5, ngnix) and firewalls
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong experience working on a Automation, Build, Infrastructure Engineering team with a focus on cloud technologies such as AWS, Microsoft Azure etc.
- Strong experience with build automation, security and performance monitoring tools like Sumologic, Dynatrace ,sciecelogic etc.
- Strong experience with Jenkins administration and/or pipeline development.
- Strong experience and knowledge with Windows and Linux servers.
- Strong experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
- Experience provisioning and configuring repeatable, highly available infrastructure using tools such as Terraform.
- Experience building and managing logging and monitoring infrastructure.
- Experience supporting compute, storage, and networking in a Cloud environment such as AWS, Microsoft Azure etc.
- Understanding of networking concepts and firewalls, especially in a Cloud hosted environment
- Understanding of secure cloud networking and security technologies.
