What Is the Opportunity?
Senior DevOps engineer will work in WMTS DevOps team to support WMTS with DevOps operations and Helios adoption. The role would work towards achieving 100% Helios adoption in WMTS and improving service quality by reducing SLAs by 70%, driving productivity through automation, root cause analysis, reusability and streamlined communication across delivery groups.
What Will You Do?

Advocate and promote new DevOps tools and processes in WMTS engineering group through coaching, consultation, onboarding, training, support, and awareness sessions.

Leading WMTS to 100% state-of-the-art inhouse deployment pipeline Adoption and responsible for aligning to RBC DevOps COE practices.

Build strong relationships with WMTS’s application development/QE teams to understand requirements and ensure smooth delivery pipelines.

Monitor build, test, and deployment processes to ensure smooth releases.

Strategically improve DevOps platform user experience of WMTS engineering group by improving issue resolution SLA from 2-3 weeks to 2-3 days.

Create WMTS DevOps group as Single point of communication with Enterprise DevOps and different Infrastructure teams.

Improve DevOps efficiency within WMTS engineering group by focusing on infrastructure stability, automation, reusability and streamlined communication.

Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting system to track the performance and health of application and infrastructure.

Document infrastructure architecture, automation scripts, and processes for future reference.

3-5 years of experience in DevOps
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
-
Strong software engineering knowledge foundation, including advanced knowledge and experience in DevOps, and SRE

Extensive knowledge of CI/CD process using Jenksins, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins Files, SonarQube, Maven, Vault, Ansible (AAP) and UrbanCodeDeploy

Hands on experience in script development using scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, Java, Python and PowerShell)

Hands on experience using Ansible Tower for Window/Unix environment configuration.

Experience using source configuration tools and branching strategy (Github)

Strong knowledge of Cloud platforms like OCP/Helm, Azure, ARM, Terraform etc

Be an excellent communicator, negotiator and translator who can connect technology and business audiences, tailoring messaging, and approach.

Ability to work collaboratively across teams and work independently to creatively solve problems.
