With that, comes an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled DevOps engineer to join our company to lead this transformation.
Required Qualifications/Skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- Deep understanding of DevOps engineering, CI/CD, and software development
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Extensive experience with designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
- Hands-on experience with Linux OS and cloud (AWS, GCP, and/or Azure)
- Hands-on experience with container orchestration systems and microservices (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)
- Hands-on DevOps engineering and architecture across a wide variety of technology and cloud environments, with a focus on software development
- Working knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible.
- Experience working with modern DevOps, build, and CI/CD tools such as CI Server, Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket, GitLab, Maven, npm, Gradle, TFS
- Strong team player, excellent communication skills, ability to be customer facing
- Experience with compliance standards such as SOC 2, and CIS
Responsibilities:
- Actively manage, improve, and monitor cloud infrastructure on AWS, including backups, patches, and scalingIntegrate security practices into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Implement security testing tools and automate security checks within the development workflow.
- Evaluate, select, and implement security tools and technologies
- Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to detect issues proactively.
- Implement strategies to minimize downtime and improve system uptime.
- Monitor cloud environments, watch logs, and maintain uptime
- Monitor and Manage cloud infrastructure costs
- Maximize maintainability and efficiency of current systems/software via code and performance monitoring as well as optimization, reporting, and integration management
- Help maintain, unify and upgrade existing testing and staging environments for a variety of production services
- Help maintain CI/CD model for new SaaS project
- Design, build, configure and manage AWS based infrastructure and configuration using IaC
- Collaborating with sales, product management, and software engineering teams to get better understand of our client’s needs – technically and functionally
- Influencing the product roadmap by suggesting new features based on customer needs
- Debug application issues and provide quick workarounds
- Mentor virtual team members
- Document, optimize, and administer existing cloud infrastructure throughout the organization (AWS)
- Develop scripts using configuration management frameworks: Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Docker
