About Your Team (Application Hosting):
Application Hosting sits within the Aladdin Platform Engineering organization. It is responsible for:

• Engineering the core services for the next generation Aladdin Container Platform to host cloud-native applications at scale.
• Responsible for the orchestration of over 1 million applications both on-premises and in the cloud.
• Managing ingress, edge routing, load balancing, security, and web asset caching services for our internal and internet-facing applications.

Your Role & Responsibilities:

• Build a talented team who are responsible for supporting and delivering platform solutions. 
• Engineer and maintain solutions to build & operate Kubernetes clusters at scale.
• Design and implement solutions to orchestrate workflows on Kubernetes clusters.
• Provision Edge Routing, Security, and Caching services for Internet-facing products.
• Enhance and own our platform observability framework by refining and deploying telemetry based alerting and corresponding Incident and Problem Management processes. 
• Be involved from inception of projects, understanding requirements, designing & developing solutions, and incorporating them into the designs of our platforms 
• Own and build regional relationships with key internal and external clients. 
• Partner with our Engineering, Product and Program Management teams in supporting the growth of our product and platform. 
• Innovate by creating automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency and scale of our technology workstreams and platform processes.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary agile team to engineer solutions to scale and operate cloud-native web applications in collaboration with developers and stakeholder groups.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 7+ years of hand-on experience working as part of Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps or related teams.
• Proven experience building, managing and supporting large-scale platforms. 
• Strong attention to details and focus on high quality delivery.  
• 5+ years of experience of working with Kubernetes and programming with an imperative language (C/C++, Go, Python, etc.). CKA or CKAD certification is advantageous.
• Deep understanding of Cloud Native concepts and best practices.
• Strong grasp of networking and containerization fundamentals, including edge routing, DNS, ingress, and network security.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or another cloud provider.
• Hands-on experience with a configuration management product (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Terraform, Crossplane, etc.).
• Strong understanding of software engineering & system design principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with GitOps workflows and source control management.
• Practical knowledge of Linux environments and shell scripting.
• Comfortable working with clients and partners at all levels of the business.  
• Relentless desire for understanding how processes work and entrepreneurial drive to learn new skills and technologies.  
• Experience automating workflows and familiarity with AIOps concepts. 
• Experience in leading a team and is comfortable in providing technical mentorship.
