In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Drive for improvements through DBS tools (PSP, VRK, kaizen, VPM)
- Provide detailed engineering analysis and documentation that utilizes appropriate statistical methods and process flows (e.g. Process Capability, Methods and Standard Work)
- Analyzes complex data (process, financial, customer, QC, etc) and communicates effectively with the project and management teams
- Take responsibility for process deployment, transfer, and ramp into manufacturing for a project or process.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, (bio)chemistry, materials science, engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience ( 3years experience with a Masters degree) working in a high tech or biotech company
- Working knowledge of fluid dynamics, mass transfer and diffusion
- Familiarity with different types of porous media and material properties including glass and polymers as well as sintering processes
- Experience with Analytical Techniques for characterizing porous media like pore size distribution and scanning electron microscopy (SEM)
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 20lb
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Awareness of methods of attachment of nucleosides to chemical solid supports
- Process Design and Optimization: Skills in designing and optimizing membrane systems including knowledge of scaling up processes from laboratory to industrial scale.
