As a Senior Developer Engagement Manager for the Developer Relations team in Korea, your main goal will be to establish and maintain strong relationships with both the Roblox Developer community as well as key brands, studios, and other strategic partnerships that will enable Roblox to thrive in the Korean market. You will provide these partners with technical support and resources and work closely with teams across Roblox to address their needs while building scalable programs. By building strong partnerships and fostering open communication, you will help ensure that our key partners in Korea have the support they need to succeed.

You Will:

  • Manage and support a team of 3 developer engagement team members currently on the ground in Korea to help drive community engagement, such as helping organize game jams, developer spotlights, meetups, etc.
  • Partner with data scientists, product, engineering, and leadership across Roblox to identify and quantify the critical action items that will impact our product growth in the region..
  • Communicate risk factors of the region and make difficult decisions.
  • Prepare regular reports on the impact of our efforts in Korea, including successes, challenges, and recommendations.

You Are:

  • Fluent in Korean and English.
  • Based in Korea or willing to relocate.
  • 6+ years of experience in technical project or program management.
  • Able to effectively communicate across all layers of an organization, both internal and external to Roblox, from peer coworkers across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and other functions, all the way up to senior leadership.
  • Experienced with launching a technical product in international markets, and ideally within the Korean market.
  • Experienced with using Roblox Studio or another game development engine. (eg. Unity or Unreal)
  • A researcher with a unique skill set to quickly ramp up and understand your target audience needs.
  • Passionate, full of positive energy, and a role model to others. Leading by example and driven by teamwork, you naturally encourage people to work together and do their best work.
  • Able to build a clear high-level strategy and hold yourself and others accountable to the long-term company vision.
  • Data and feedback driven, your decisions are inspired by the product usage, the users’ qualitative insights, and your expertise.
  • Communication focused with excellent verbal and written skills.

Hybrid Workspace

We are requiring employees to be in the office three days a week – with core days being Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. On Mondays and Fridays, employees may choose to work remotely, although the office will still be open.
