A Brief Overview
The Senior Designer is responsible for bringing design solutions to life across a variety of creative projects and channels. This role oversees deliverables from initial concept through production, and is comfortable making decisions, owning creative executions, and presenting to clients. As a senior member of the design team, the incumbent views creative development from a holistic perspective and collaborates closely with peers to elevate the work of our brand, providing feedback to junior designers, when appropriate. Additionally, this incumbent possesses expert knowledge of graphic design, current design trends, industry best practices and tools, and can manage projects and priorities efficiently.

What you will do

Develops and owns original concepts, taking a lead role in the design and production of creative campaigns and marketing materials.

Creates and oversees a wide variety of design deliverables spanning multiple channels (i.e., web, print, out-of-home, and social media).

Reviews design work and provides actionable feedback to ensure creative output is high quality, accurate, on-brand, and on-strategy.

Helps establish and implement design standards, templates, and production processes to ensure all materials accurately reflect the organization’s goals, objectives, and identity.

Manages priorities and projects efficiently so that design deliverables are delivered on time and within scope.

Drives alignment with internal and external partners, providing clear design rationale and articulating how creative executions meet strategic objectives.

Provides in-house design support and creative consultation in an open, collaborative way.

Works with hospital and marketing leadership to support the creative direction and development of any full-scale plans needed for projects.
Education Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in a work-related discipline/field from an accredited college or university.
Experience Qualifications
-
Six (6) to ten (10) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.

High-level of comfort and skill expressing and presenting concepts and solutions to clients and partners.

Demonstrates skill and experience owning the original creative concept and directing the successful execution of that idea.

Ability to work with flexibility, efficiency, and diplomacy, both individually and as part of a complex team effort.

Demonstrates proficient use of the web, as well as knowledge and awareness of its design limitations and technical specifications.

Flawless ability to prepare design concepts for client meetings, including expertise in building mockups by hand.

Ability to communicate the value of what’s created.

Highly organized, skilled, and detail-oriented to manage a high-volume of simultaneous requests; ability to prioritize & adjust priorities as needed.

Responsiveness, skill, and patience for responding to high demand/quick turnaround circumstances and long review cycles.

Skill at consistently negotiating high-quality results under tight deadlines, while maintaining the engagement of contractors/vendors.

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $40.46 - $52.61 per hour
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
