About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Graphic Designer with a passion for film to join MUBI as our first US-based designer. As a key member of our global Design team, you will work across disciplines including print, digital, and motion, collaborating closely with teams across multiple time zones.
Reporting to our Creative Director, Pablo Martín, and Senior Design Director, Sauman Wong, you will play a crucial role in shaping MUBI’s visual identity in the US and beyond. The nature of this role is hybrid, requiring at least two days per week in our New York hub.
You will focus on:

Leading, developing, and executing creative solutions to promote our curated film programming, including brand campaigns, social media assets, film key art, motion graphics for trailers, and more.

Working independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams in different regions.

Navigating projects autonomously, problem-solving, and making confident design decisions.

Mentoring junior designers on the team, providing guidance and constructive feedback.

Proactively exploring new ideas to evolve MUBI’s visual brand identity.
What you will bring:

A contemporary design aesthetic with a strong portfolio showcasing conceptual and executional abilities across digital, mobile, print, and video.

At least 5 years of professional design experience, ideally within film, media, or entertainment.

Expertise in motion graphics and art direction.

Proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects.

A strong ability to work autonomously, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working across time zones.

A passion for film and design, with a keen interest in evolving trends and tools.
Bonus points for:

Experience managing designers or leading design projects.

Experience working with brand agencies.
