Job Duties and Responsibilities

- Maintains existing functionality and develops new features in web based in-house custom and customer self-service applications.
- Maintains and develops backend integration services interacting with Billing and Payment systems.
- Leads enterprise release projects by providing level of efforts of assignments, coordinating resources for development, analyzing complex business requirements and producing high quality design documents and code.
- Analyze information system requirements, create designs, and provide documentation by utilizing Dish Network specified tools and methodologies.
- May provide a variety of services ranging from day-to-day support, maintenance, design, development, and trouble-shooting to improve, advance, or simplify Dish Network business processes.
- Provide information system technology solutions by adhering to Dish Network prescribed life-cycle tools and methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Applicants must be team oriented and work well with end users and other IT team members. Candidate must be capable of interacting with Sr. Management.
- Update SOX process documentation quarterly as required and perform/monitor required SOX controls as described in documentation
- May define standards and procedures, refine methods and techniques for information modeling and best practices for application software development and deployment.
- May provide leadership or project management within application development teams to deliver coordinated software solutions.
Skills, Experience and Requirements
- 6+ years of relevant experience.
- Solid knowledge of one RDBMS system such as Oracle.
- In depth knowledge of at least one Application Server; for example, Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere or Spring with Tomcat.
- Familiar with Middleware Integration platform (web Methods).
- CSG /Amdocs Billing System is a big plus.
- Work closely with business team to understand their requirements
- Attend business meetings to design applications, databases and provide optimal solutions.
- Work with Business Analysts to ensure the requirements align with the end user perspective.
- Work with the IT Manager to understand the deadlines and develop code, unit test cases, build TRDs and migrate the code to TEST and PROD environments.
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, preferably in Computer Science or related field; or two years related experience and/or training; and four plus years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Research prod issues by understanding the existing code as well as developing new code in Oracle PLSQL, Database Triggers, Oracle ADF, Unix Scripts, Autosys, SFTP Servers, Tomcat Application Server Configuration, ASP.NET MVC5, jQuery, Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3, XML, JavaScript, UML, SOAP,REST, VBScript, AJAX, Classic ASP, Spring MVC - Microservices, Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 & below, Spring MVC Technologies.
