The Senior Database Developer is a member of the FinSys development team. The position involves participation in various database development projects, starting from planning through implementation, testing, and deployment into production. Furthermore, knowledge of the systems and architectures used here is required, along with the ability to transform them within the project scope.
What you’ll do:
- Complete technical overview of the active databases, cubes and reports
- Maintain the existing database infrastructure
- Create a complete and transparent maintenance and database lifecycle management process, including audit purposes also.
- Create a performance monitoring system
- Examine and refactor existing implementations from performance, architectural perspective
- General cleanup of unused functions based on the database lifecycle process
- Replace cubes wherever it is possible
- Participate in various development projects
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure implementation quality and reliability
- Keeping the implemented solution clean and readable
- Strive to periodically update implemented solutions based on current best practices
What we are looking for:
- University or College degree (or equivalent) in a relevant area
- Minimum 5 years of database development experience
- Relevant knowledge in cooperative and agile development practices
