Role Overview
Broadridge is growing! We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer for Database to join our team! This role is in our Global Technologies and Operations Division, which is a world leader in financial technology that produces and supports a host of digital platforms and software products.
In this role, you will onboard clients for NYFIX which is one of the largest and most established order routing networks in the Capital Market. You will also provide level 2 incident management and DB support for all the products that the team is supporting.
We are made up of high-performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means you’ll be assigned to a Broadridge office and given the flexibility to work remotely.
Responsibilities
- Monitor health of Database Servers
- Incident Management related to DB
- Performs deployment of new releases/upgrades of Database
- Performs Failover and Switchover activities
- Monitors, troubleshoot Tidal related issues and setup Tidal Jobs
- Document operational procedures and DB Inventory
- Support for weekend maintenance activities of other Level 2 support (NE, SE, InfoSec)
- Create automation tools that will make the operation better and satisfy the needs of internal customers
- Application Support for On Prem Linux based platform
Your Profile
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ethical decision making
- Ability to work in a team environment with emphasis on collaboration with both clients and other internal service teams.
- Ability to perform and thrive in a high-pressure environment
- Willing to work during Night Shift, Weekend and Holidays
- Bachelor's Degree majoring in either computer engineering, computer science or information technology
