Job Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist specializing in routing, optimization, and logistics to join our team. You will lead the development of routing algorithms, vehicle routing problem (VRP) solutions, and optimization models to enhance operational efficiency. This role requires expertise in data science, operations research, and applied machine learning to solve complex route optimization, last-mile delivery, and supply chain challenges. #LI-Hybrid
Major Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning models and predictive analytics solutions.
- Lead data-driven research projects to improve business processes, customer experiences, and operational efficiency.
- Work with structured and unstructured data to uncover insights, trends, and patterns.
- Develop scalable data pipelines and ensure data integrity for analytics and AI applications.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to define problems and propose data-driven solutions.
- Optimize algorithms for performance, scalability, and interpretability.
- Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in data science and AI.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior data scientists and analysts.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through reports, dashboards, and presentations.
Work Experience and Education:
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, and analytics.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong proficiency in Python or R, and experience with libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy etc.
- Expertise in SQL and working with large-scale databases.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (AWS QuickSight, Matplotlib, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of statistical modeling, machine learning, deep learning, and optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with GIS and geospatial tools (PostGIS, QGIS, OpenStreetMap, Valhalla, OSRM).
- Experience with A/B testing and causal inference techniques.
- Background in SLAM, NLP, time-series forecasting, or recommendation systems.
- Exposure to business intelligence and data engineering practices.
- Familiarity with MLOps practices, model deployment, and CI/CD pipelines.
