Senior Data Engineer (Pipelines)

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team to partner with different cross-functional teams across the company and provide technical and product leadership for our clients.

About You:

• Experience level: Senior
• You are a well-rounded, fast-learning data engineer experienced with multi-stage data ingestion pipelines
• Ready to work with structured and unstructured data using frameworks such as Databricks and Nextflow, as well as ones specific to the life sciences domain such as DNAnexus
• Ideally, you have experience working with both automated and human-in-the-loop flows

Requirements:

• Databricks
• Data-related cloud infrastructure and services, preferably AWS
• Relational and non-relational databases, SQL
• Python

Bonus points for:

• Experience in life sciences domain
• Experience with the R programming language
• Comfort architecting and communicating a data solution and its rationale
• Knowledge in security
• Fluency with Docker, shell, and infrastructure as code
• Curiosity about developments and trends in data engineering
• Knowledge of and/or interest in machine learning or generative AI

Team Collaboration:

• Overlap with some EST hours daily is expected.
• Reliable high-speed internet is a must!
