We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to play a critical role in driving our growth by building a strong foundation for data-driven service delivery and rapid scaling. In this role, you'll be responsible for analyzing complex healthcare datasets to generate actionable insights that inform strategic decisions across the organization. You'll collaborate closely with product, engineering, clinical, finance, and go-to-market teams, acting as a crucial link between data and operational excellence. Your responsibilities will include developing robust reporting and forecasting capabilities, as well as identifying and implementing process improvements based on data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Collaboration and Leadership:
    • Lead collaborative efforts with cross-functional teams (Product, Marketing, Clinical Operations, Executive Leadership) to strategically understand complex business needs and proactively identify high-impact areas for process optimization and innovation.
    • Mentor and guide junior analysts, fostering a culture of data excellence and continuous improvement within the analytics team.
    • Drive the development and implementation of data-driven strategies that align with overarching business objectives.
  • Advanced Analytics and Reporting:
    • Architect and maintain sophisticated reporting and analytics frameworks to track critical KPIs, providing actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across the organization.
    • Develop advanced predictive models and forecasting methodologies to anticipate future trends and inform long-term strategic planning.
    • Design and deliver executive-level presentations and reports, effectively communicating complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Data Engineering and Management:
    • Design, implement, and optimize robust ETL processes to ensure the seamless and accurate flow of data from diverse sources into a centralized data repository, emphasizing data quality and integrity.
    • Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security.
    • Evaluate and implement cutting-edge data technologies and methodologies to enhance data infrastructure and analytical capabilities.
  • Healthcare Data Expertise:
    • Conduct in-depth analysis of complex healthcare data, including claims, clinical records, and eligibility data, to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
    • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between clinical concepts and their representation in data sets, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
    • Develop and implement methodologies for analyzing comorbidities and healthcare service utilization patterns to inform clinical and operational strategies.
  • Clinical Operations and Client Reporting:
    • Lead the analysis of treatment protocol performance, milestone achievement, and variance across different operational levels, providing strategic recommendations for improvement.
    • Develop and maintain sophisticated dashboards and reporting tools for both internal and external stakeholders, translating complex data into clear and actionable insights.
    • Create comprehensive performance year retrospective summaries and predictive models to forecast long-term value and early indicators.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in healthcare data analysis, with a proven track record of delivering impactful insights.
  • Extensive experience working with healthcare data and taxonomies (claims, eligibility, clinical data, etc.).
  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL, Python (including data analysis libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn), and other relevant programming languages.
  • Deep understanding of modern data stack technologies and cloud-based platforms (AWS, Snowflake, ETL, etc.).
  • Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (PowerBI, Looker, etc.) and the ability to create compelling and informative dashboards.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance principles.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor junior analysts.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.   
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.   
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.   
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a focus on delivering actionable insights.   
  • Familiarity with Github/Notebook documentation.
  • The candidate must currently live in or be willing to relocate to the St. Louis metropolitan area.
