As a client-facing Senior Analyst, you will work with a variety of clients and internal teams to develop data and analytics-based solutions. The scope of this work can depend on the specific question being asked, where the process kicks off with an RFP, question from an existing client, or internal team with a core question or problem to solve, including but not limited to:

  • What value are we getting from our existing sponsorships?
  • Where should we be spending our sponsorship budget?
  • Can we use data to make an existing process more efficient?
  • What is the most effective way to engage with our target audience in an existing sponsorship?

Once these questions are asked, our Data Strategy team actively collaborates with the involved collaborators (clients, internal teams, vendors, etc.) to design and implement a solution from start to finish. A measurement project may call for a custom database and dashboard whereas other asks may involve any mix of automated reporting, strategic consulting, or a statistical model to analyze performance. Our work constantly evolves, but data always remains at the core and the ability to problem-solve and collaborate with others is crucial.

THE WORK YOU’LL DO

  • Client Consulting and Collaboration
    • Collaborate with various stakeholders to understand the problem at hand, and how data can be used to design a solution.
    • Manage expectations and deadlines with stakeholders on projects.
    • Proactively problem-solve as unexpected issues arise
    • Build relationships with key stakeholders to better understand their business objectives and how we can create solutions to enhance those
  • Technical Data Analytics
    • Build comprehensive dashboards and reports for use both internally and with clients
    • Help the manager and other members of the team build a clear, story-driven presentation of model results
    • Acquire, cleanse, transform, and verify data from first, second, and third-party data sources
    • Interpret data, analyze results, and identify trends using statistical techniques and provide ongoing insights/measurement reports
    • Ensure data quality & hygiene
    • Extract, transform, and load large data sets
    • Collaborate closely with key internal SMEs to verify data integrity, model accuracy, and seek input for client presentations
    • Evaluate and refine processes for continued efficiency improvements

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 2-4 years of proven full-time work experience in a client-facing data role
  • Experience using statistical programming languages, libraries, or packages for mathematical or data operations, and analyzing large datasets. E.g., Python, R is highly preferred
  • Experience using dashboarding tools like Power BI or Tableau is required, R Shiny is highly preferred
  • Proficiency in basic SQL (Number, date & character manipulations, joins) is highly preferred
  • Experience using large-scale marketing databases like Acxiom, comScore, Nielsen, Scarborough, MRI Simmons, to tell compelling stories a plus
  • Experience with media measurement and tools like Hookit, Infegy, Brandwatch, and Creator IQ is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Word & MS PowerPoint required
  • Experience with Media or Advertising Analytics is desirable. Agency experience preferred but not required
  • Experience communicating the results and recommendations from technical analysis to non-technical audiences
  • Ideal areas of study/experience include: Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Econometrics, Statistics, and/or Marketing Business Management
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, prioritize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new programs and concepts in an efficient manner
  • The ability to present your work and collaborate within a team environment is essential

The base range for this position is $70,000 – 80,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications
