Senior Data Analyst / Business Analyst

Role Summary

  • This position combines data analysis, business analysis, and project management, focusing on JIRA for tracking and reporting.
  • This professional will bridge business needs and technical implementation, driving data-informed decision-making and organizational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Data JIRA Analysis & Metric Development:
  • Develop and maintain executive reporting metrics, including feature status and time projections for large programs with multiple projects and teams.
  • Create comprehensive dashboards and reports for executive decision-making.
  1. Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with Product, Technology, and Project Management teams to ensure alignment of JIRA metric data across the program.
  • Communicate with stakeholders, management, and executives to maintain a cohesive organizational structure backed by data.
  1. Executive Reporting:
  • Support critical reporting by editing PowerPoint decks to include metrics.
  • Assist Project Managers, Program Managers, and Client Engagement Managers with data-driven insights.
  1. Project Management/Coordination:
  • Participate in Agile backlog creation, prioritization, and project execution for software development projects.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies and manage product backlogs.
  1. Additional Business Analyst Support:
  • Conduct financial forecasts, gather requirements, assist with onboarding, and perform quality assurance tasks as needed.

Required Skills

  1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  2. Proficiency in JIRA administration and customization
  3. Experience with Agile methodologies and SDLC
  4. Excellent communication and presentation skills
  5. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  6. Expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting

Tools and Technologies

  1. JIRA / Confluence
  2. Microsoft Excel including Pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, HLOOKUP’s, Charts
  3. Microsoft PowerPoints including professional edit/executive friendly formatting, and smart art
  4. Agile and Traditional project management software (MS Project, Scaled Agile Tracking)
  5. Potential work with Data visualization and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
