Job Summary
The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an experienced cybersecurity professional who will be responsible for enhancing cyber policies, compliance, and procedures. In this role as Senior Cybersecurity Audit, Policy & Compliance Staff (IT/Network Security Staff III/IV), you will help to ensure cybersecurity compliance and implement proactive solutions and policies based on organizational, and regulatory requirements, risk posture and threat intelligence. You will join a team of dedicated cybersecurity professionals who are chartered with securing Aerospace's classified and unclassified enterprise IT environments and viewed as leaders within the aerospace community.
Work Model
This is a full-time position based in Chantilly, VA or Colorado Springs, CO, offering a hybrid work model that combines 3 regular onsite workdays and remote flexibility as the business needs allow.
What You'll Be Doing
- Spearheading teams and projects in the areas of: cybersecurity audits and audit oversight, compliance review, vulnerability identification and remediation, cybersecurity administration
- Contributing to and compiling threat briefings and risk assessments based on current events
- Providing expertise for cyber policy development and enhancement
- Remaining informed on trends and issues in the security industry, including current and emerging technologies and policies
- Collaborating on corporate technology development with a focus on data, system, and network security
- Communicating effectively with senior management, peers, staff, and customers both inside and outside the corporation
- Where necessary, providing Tier 3 support to help troubleshoot complex issues and architect new solutions
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements for IT/Network Security Staff III:
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent field of study, or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years of relevant experience
- Extensive experience with NIST 800-171 and CMMC and related system security plans
- Experience with audit management and oversight, cyber risk management, governance, and compliance
- Ability to document security best practices and IT security requirements
- Cyber policy knowledge and creation experience
- Thorough understanding of the cyber threat landscape and experience in identifying credible threats relative to current and emerging vulnerabilities
- Experience reviewing cloud environments
- Excellent knowledge of technology environments, including cybersecurity and its corporate implications
- Experience with enterprise-level system design and audit
- Ability to translate organizational goals and objectives into actionable implementation plans
- Adept at quickly learning new or existing technologies
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
In addition to the above, the minimum requirements for the IT/Network Security Staff IV include:
- 7-9 years of experience
- Hands-on experience with enterprise security plan creation and maintenance

We offer a competitive compensation package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
