Supports the core business activities of Credit Risk Management, i.e., Discount Window, Reserve Analysis, and Payments System Risk by having a working knowledge of all core department business functions to ensure the effectiveness of daily operations. Ensures activities are conducted in a manner consistent with established policy, procedure, and risk and control requirements. Performs activities of high complexity and risk. May provide training and mentoring to other staff and must be able to work in a team environment. Interacts with internal and System project teams regularly. Your Responsibilities:
System Projects and Work Groups:

  • Participates in and may lead operations-related System work groups and projects to implement System policies, practices and programs related to unit


Data Analysis and Report Preparation:

  • Collects and organizes data for report preparation and analysis
  • Interprets information and reviews data in order to make decisions and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Performs analysis of highly complex data and information used to prepare briefings and reports relating to department activities
  • Delivers briefings, presentations, and other communications to key decision-makers on Federal Reserve Bank and System matters


Regulatory and Operations-related Questions:

  • Fields, research, and responds to highly complex regulatory and operations-related questions from depository institutions, examiners, and Board Staff in consideration of department and System policies and regulations


Research:

  • Independently researches and performs advanced analysis on topics related to payments activity, collateral evaluation, financial analysis, depository institution counseling, controls, and/or other data
  • Draws conclusions and makes recommendations to management


Bank Processes and Applications:

  • Reviews data and creates complex queries used to monitor updates to changes in institution information
  • Brainstorms and develops improvements to current processes


Your Background:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree; major in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
  • 5 to 7 years of related work experience
  • 7 to 10 years of accounting, business or finance experience may serve in lieu of education requirement


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Knowledge of the PSR Policy, Regulation D, and Lending Policy
  • Knowledge of financial concepts, banking regulations (Regulations D, A, J, K, and Y), and the Federal Reserve`s Operating Circulars
  • Broad knowledge of banking operations and financial markets, as well as the procedures and services of related areas (e.g.,Accounting, Supervision and Regulation, etc.)
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines often balancing competing priorities
  • Ability to work in a team environment with customer and stakeholder focus
  • Ability to work independently and with a sense of urgency on broad assignments or under general directions as scope or objectives
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail with additional responsibility to review other's work
  • Strong presentation and data analysis skills
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and accept change
  • Advanced knowledge of business-related software applications. Preference for individual with demonstrated analytical skills and programming languages including Python, R, SQL. and Java

Additional Requirements:

  • This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of two days per week in office.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
