The Senior Copywriter at Lumin Digital is responsible for will be responsible for drafting original copy and editing existing content to support Lumin’s content strategy, external comms / PR efforts, brand, product, and demand generation programs. Types of content will include a mix of thought leadership, white papers, blogs, social posts, web copy, and video scripts. Success in this role requires an imaginative approach to copywriting, attention to detail, and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment . This role is on a small, virtual team; candidates must be comfortable working in a remote environment.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities, Experience:
Write original copy and work with SMEs to refine clear, engaging copy for executive, brand, and, outcome-based marketing awareness and demand campaigns, including touchpoints such as :
- Articles
- White papers
- Blogs
- Storyboards (webinars and/or speaking engagements, video scripts)
- Social content
- Case studies
- Product content such as battle cards, etc.
Collaborate with product, sales, client services, and other teams to develop copy that aligns with business objectives and resonates with target audiences.
Edit and proofread content to ensure high quality and consistency across all communications.
Utilize SEO principles to optimize copy for increased visibility and engagement across digital platforms.
Edit and proofread copy, ensuring accuracy before publication.
Stay up to date on content and social media best practices, particularly for LinkedIn.
Develop a broad understanding of Lumin’s businesses, products, research, technology, and best practices.
Serve as a champion for and guardian of the Lumin brand voice and writing style.

30 Days: Get familiar with Lumin’s brand voice, marketing initiatives, and content strategy. Start contributing copy to ongoing campaigns and projects.
90 Days: Take ownership of assigned copywriting projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and begin optimizing copy based on performance data.
1 Year: Become a key contributor to Lumin Digital’s marketing efforts, consistently delivering high-quality, optimized content that drives business results.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
10+ years of applicable writing experience in either a corporate, agency, or news environment. Experience with B2B marketing and/or B2B SaaS fintech industry, or banking technology.
Deep knowledge of content strategy and best practices for writing compelling, high-impact copy.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with great attention to detail.
Experience interviewing and ghost-writing.
Excellent interpersonal skills; adaptable and able to work on multiple projects and collaborate with numerous people simultaneously.
Ability to organize and complete detailed projects accurately and deliver on deadlines.
Proficiency in SEO and keyword research for optimizing content across digital platforms.
Ability to work as part of a team, fostering collaboration and cultivating relationships, as well as work independently or with minimal direction.
Strong time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Travel:
Minimal, generally 12 days or less per year, ~2X team get togethers a year
