Job Summary
The Senior Storage Consultant will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable storage solutions for enterprise clients. This position requires deep expertise in software-defined storage systems, particularly Ceph, to deliver innovative and reliable storage architectures tailored to client needs.
What You Will Do:

Design, deploy, and manage storage solutions with a focus on Ceph clusters, including block, object, and file storage (RBD, RADOSGW, CephFS).

Configure and optimize Ceph components such as CRUSH maps, OSDs, monitors, and metadata servers for high performance and reliability.

Develop Proof of Concepts (POCs) and provide technical leadership in large-scale storage projects.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Ceph clusters and client environments.

Collaborate with clients to align storage strategies with business objectives while ensuring scalability and cost efficiency.

Provide knowledge sharing and training sessions to internal teams and clients on Ceph architecture and best practices.
What You Will Bring:
Storage related Required Skills:

Advanced knowledge of Ceph architecture, deployment, tuning, and troubleshooting.

Proficiency in integrating Ceph with platforms like OpenStack or Kubernetes.

Strong understanding of hybrid storage environments and software-defined storage principles.

Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible) for managing storage clusters.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in client-facing roles.
Common Required Skills:

5+ years of experience working directly with enterprise stakeholders on a range of development and deployment projects

Deep knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)

Experience implementing system infrastructure and cloud solutions, including data storage, networking, monitoring, and security

Ability to communicate value, progress, and metrics of key projects to required stakeholders in both technical and business audiences

Ability to study on your own, learn quickly, and put new ideas into practice

Passion for open source, software, tooling, and automation

Good communication skills, verbal and written, in English and Hebrew
Nice To Have:

Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ceph Cloud Storage or equivalent certification.

Experience with enterprise-grade Ceph solutions like IBM Storage Ceph or similar platforms.

Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification

Working experience with DevOps and agile processes
